Erodium cicutarium, also known as redstem filaree, redstem stork’s bill, common stork’s-bill or pinweed, is a herbaceous annual – or in warm climates, biennial – member of the family Geraniaceae of flowering plants.
Common stork’s-bill can be normally found in bare, sandy, grassy places. It is generally a sign of lack of organic material and beneficial microbial activity in the soil. Furthermore, it may indicate poor soil porosity and low Phosphorus and Calcium levels.
Zink and Copper levels are often high in common stork’s bill’s habitat.
