Prairie grass

Prairie grass

Prairie grass grows vigorously during winter and spring. Prairie grass can be planted when the soil temperature is above 10 Celsius degrees.

With its high protein content and particularly good palatability, prairie grass has high grazing and forage potential.

The limitations of this cover crop are relatively short lifespan and weak toleration of poorly drained, heavy textured or infertile soils.
